My Three Favorite Bible Verses

The Bible is my favorite book. I try to read it every day for spiritual enlightenment, inner strength and wisdom. I genuinely believe it shows us the way of salvation for our souls and describes a way of life that God expects us to live. There are a few books and chapters from the book that I like very much, but today I want to give you my three favorite verses. I hope they will bless you too.

The first is John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” I think most people know this verse for it is the most quoted one in various evangelistic meetings when a way of salvation is preached to those who are not Christians. It shows us tremendous love of God for His creation and His awesome plan to draw us back to Himself even after we have terribly sinned bible verse for marriage.

The second is Mark 9:23: “Everything is possible for one who believes.” These were the words of Jesus to a father whose son was suffering from a terrible disease. The poor guy had virtually lost courage and hope that his son may recover one day. He had small hope that Jesus would help. Jesus shocked him by saying that everyone who believes can do the impossible. Few of us believe that. We tend to rely on our five senses and that is why real faith is unexplored and unrealistic for us. This is the reason why we see so few miracles today. We trust in visible and do not believe the invisible. But the invisible does exist and the sooner we realize that, the better chances we will have to take advantage of that and see extraordinary things in our lives by means of practicing our faith. Only believe!

The last verse if Hebrews 13:8: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” I am very happy about it. We are searching for security and stability. This world is not a very stable or even safe place to live. And we see it in all areas of life: health, relationships, business, economy, weather and etc. We want some solid ground for us to stand. We need somebody or something we can trust. Jesus is the one. He does not change. Everything changes, but He does not. This is the reason we can trust Him. He will not promise one thing today and fail to do it tomorrow. We may, but He will not. What He has promised, He will definitely keep to His word.
